Bingham (South Jordan, Utah) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 14 fourth quarter points to seal the 38-13 victory over
Brighton (Salt Lake City, Utah).
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Miners led 21-13 at the half.
Bingham expanded its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. The South Jordan school scored once in the quarter on a field goal by
Chayden Johnston.
The loss snapped Brighton's six-game winning streak.
The Miners had given up an average of 14.0 points prior to the contest. The Bengals came in giving up 16.8 points per game this season. Brighton struggled against Bingham's offense, which entered the game scoring 41.3 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Brighton, which notched a 44-20 victory over Jordan in its previous outing.
