Last Friday, Veritas Academy had to suffer through a rough 69-33 loss at the hands of Lancaster County Christian. Veritas Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-21.
Mount Calvary Christian blew West Shore Christian Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on FridayWest Shore Christian Academy got their revenge. Mount Calvary Christian fell just short of West Shore Christian Academy by a score of 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Mount Calvary Christian has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josiah Masters, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Zach Witmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Veritas Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Veritas Academy was dealt a bruising 76-33 loss at the hands of Mount Calvary Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Veritas Academy was down 45-15.
