The Bishop Canevin Crusaders's 22-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They suffered a tough 70-44 defeat at the hands of Greensburg Central Catholic on Wednesday. Bishop Canevin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Bishop Canevin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Vaughn. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Allen, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Bishop Canevin now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Canevin will take on Belle Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Yough at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
