The Carrboro Jaguars will be playing at home against the South Granville Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Carrboro slipped by Louisburg 57-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carrboro.
Carrboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Kanjorski, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brody Gagne, who scored 11 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, South Granville unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 79-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southern Durham.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was KJ Terry, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Oliver Roberts was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Carrboro now has a winning record of 8-7. As for South Granville, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.
Carrboro was dealt a bruising 82-36 defeat at the hands of South Granville when the teams last played last Wednesday. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Carrboro was down 50-22.
