The South Adams Starfires were the 48-45 winner over the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. South Adams was dealt a 67-40 loss at the hands of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Tuesday. South Adams has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Liz Gerber and Macy Pries certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Gerber scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Pries scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Pries is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played.
South Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Adams is on the road again on Saturday and play against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they will challenge Wayne Trace at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
