The Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans won against the Flinthills Mustangs last Friday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Cedar Vale/Dexter walked away with a 50-42 win over the Mustangs. The win was familiar territory for Cedar Vale/Dexter who now have three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Flinthills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tate Leslie. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leslie has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Farris, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Cedar Vale/Dexter pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Flinthills, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Vale/Dexter will take on the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Flinthills, they will be playing at home against the Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Caldwell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
