Given Little Snake River's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in Wyoming, while the Cowboys are ranked 159th in Colorado), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Meeker saw an underclassman step up: Rylee Sullivan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Addie Knowles was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Little Snake River is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Meeker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
