Last Thursday, Impact Christian Academy strolled past Westside with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. Given Impact Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Westside is ranked 597th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ronald Clark and Wayne Johnson were among the main playmakers for Impact Christian Academy as the former scored 15 points along with seven steals and six rebounds and the latter scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Jackson, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Royal Palm Beach's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 65-48 to Palm Beach Lakes. Royal Palm Beach has not had much luck with Palm Beach Lakes recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Impact Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Royal Palm Beach, they bumped their record down to 7-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
