The Clairton Bears had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKeesport.
Despite the loss, Clairton still got an impressive performance from Mike Wright Jr., who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taris Wooding, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals.
Clairton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for McKeesport, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clairton will take on Ringgold at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McKeesport, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodland Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Hills and McKeesport are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
