The Central Cambria Red Devils will take on the Bishop McCort Crushers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Cambria is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Central Cambria had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Central on Friday. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 16-3 win. That looming 16-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Devils yet this season.
Rowyn Ruddek made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaydence Sinclair, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one double. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.2 RBI per game. Kathryn Scott was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Central Cambria kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop McCort, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Richland on Monday.
Like Central Cambria, Bishop McCort also got a great game from a two-way player: Lariah Myers. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Myers was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Riley Zeglin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Hannah Pfeil, who went 1-for-2 with three runs.
Bishop McCort now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Central Cambria, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Central Cambria hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bishop McCort struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Central Cambria came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop McCort in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Crushers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
