Start won the last time they faced Northview and things went their way on Saturday too. The Spartans rang in the new year with a 61-53 win over the Wildcats. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Start's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Northview, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Start and Northview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Spartans will challenge Woodward at 6:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (177 vs. 758). Meanwhile, Northview (ranked 77th) will meet Ross (ranked 276th) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
