Meanwhile, Forge Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Pumas get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Fury might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Julianna Alfaro, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxine Rossi, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Forge Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Forge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Jefferson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jefferson Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Forge Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .423. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
