After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Salpointe Catholic, Mica Mountain was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Sahuaro Cougars with a sharp  14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbolts, who have now won seven contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Maddux Rocha looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Mica Mountain got a big performance out of  Elijah Higuera, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.  Raydon Rocha was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and one  run.
 Mica Mountain  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .611. They are 7-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Mica Mountain pushed their record up to 11-11-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Sahuaro, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-20-1 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mica Mountain will square off against Arcadia at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Sahuaro, they will challenge Sabino at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
