Basketball Recap: Good Samaritan Homeschool Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Good Samaritan HomeSchool saw some tournament action on Saturday. They managed a 39-33 win over the Meridian HomeSchool FLYERS. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ellie Beck out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 steals. Beck is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey White, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Meridian HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Baytown Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Good Samaritan HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Baytown Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. After both having extra time off, Meridian HomeSchool and Muddy River HomeSchool will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 10:00 a.m. on February 6th.
