Mid Valley won against Western Wayne on Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Spartans didn't even let the Lakeland Chiefs on the board, marking the Spartans' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Larson continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Krista Cortazar, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3.
Mid Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Mid Valley pushed their record up to 16-1-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.
