Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucy Franko, who scored 5 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Franko has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tory Harmon, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.
The last time Mishawaka Marian lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.7 points per game. As for South Bend Riley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mishawaka Marian will square off against South Bend Adams at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Bend Riley, they will head out on the road to face off against Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th.
