The Malcolm Clippers will head out to challenge the Ralston Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Malcolm comes in on five and Ralston on three.
Malcolm is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Fort Calhoun get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Clippers with their most commanding win of the season.
Brixon Meyer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Malcolm got a massive performance out of Preston Kucera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those three runs gave Kucera a new career-high. Nolan Duzik also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Malcolm was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .444 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ralston gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Auburn as they made off with a 20-9 victory. Considering the Rams have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Landyn Vlcek looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Landen Buechler was a standout: he fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Vandervort, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs.
Malcolm's record now sits at 5-2. As for Ralston, their record is now 5-1.
Malcolm skirted past Ralston 4-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Clippers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
