The Alchesay Falcons's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top against Tonopah Valley by a score of 54-45.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alchesay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Gushoney, who scored ten points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Gushoney grabbed two or more steals. Brent Aday was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Alchesay's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alchesay's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Window Rock at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Window Rock has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 15. As for Tonopah Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Odyssey Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Odyssey Institute is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
