Connor Cannon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Despite the defeat, Batesburg-Leesville saw an underclassman step up: Ta'Maj Gilliam scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jr Stewart, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Batesburg-Leesville struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fox Creek's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
Fox Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rebels at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pelion is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
