The Mifflinburg Wildcats will face off against the Southern Columbia Area Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mifflinburg took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They really took it to Milton for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-7 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

It was another big night for Chad Martin, who threw for 285 yards and four TDs on only 15 passes. What's more, he racked up 143.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Landen Murray, who picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Mifflinburg didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Milton to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. The team can thank Isaiah Kurtz for the heroic effort on defense: he. Mifflinburg wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 57.1%.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Mifflinburg, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Murray, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Southern Columbia Area and Danville, and Southern Columbia Area kept the tradition alive. The Tigers blew past the Ironmen 41-21 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Ironmen are ranked 336th).
Southern Columbia Area's win came from a few key players Mifflinburg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ayden Hockenbroch, who threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards. Brayden Andrews was another key player, gaining 131 total yards and two touchdowns.
Southern Columbia Area pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games. As for Mifflinburg, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Mifflinburg beat Southern Columbia Area 34-26 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
