After a string of four wins, the Victory Christian Center Kings's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 65-56 to Legacy Early College. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Victory Christian Center in their matchups with Legacy Early College: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Victory Christian Center saw an underclassman step up: Justyn Whitfield scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitfield has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Myles Smith, who scored ten points.
Victory Christian Center's loss dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Legacy Early College, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Victory Christian Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy Early College, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brewster Academy National at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
