Another player making a difference was Jerlena Alexander, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Derby dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.1 points per game. As for Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Derby will be playing at home against Wilby at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Derby is facing Wilby at the right time seeing as Wilby is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Kennedy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-50 defeat vs. Wolcott on the 10th.
