Clear Creek is 2-7 against Clear Springs since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clear Creek Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Clear Springs Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Clear Creek had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 43-6 victory over Clear Brook. The result was nothing new for Clear Creek, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Clear Springs fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They breezed by Clear Lake at home to the tune of 41-10. Given Clear Springs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Clear Lake is ranked 433rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Clear Creek to 6-1 and Clear Springs to 4-4.
Clear Creek was taken down by Clear Springs 42-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Clear Creek have more luck at home instead of on the road?
