Sebring found their leader in sophomore Molly Jane Zwayer, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. Zwayer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Liberty Phillips, who posted six points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy got the win against Davenport on Tuesday by a conclusive 59-39. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.
Sebring better focus on containing Jade Grier and Bianca Barroso as the pair were huge in Victory Christian Academy's win. Grier scored ten points along with five boards and five steals, while Barroso earned eight points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Thomas, who had nine points.
Victory Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.7 points. As for Sebring, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Sebring has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 39.1% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Victory Christian Academy, though, as they've only made 27.1% of their threes this season. Given Sebring's sizable advantage in that area, Victory Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
Sebring won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, slipping by Victory Christian Academy 46-45. Does Sebring have another victory up their sleeve, or will Victory Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
