The Dilley Wolves lost against the Luling Eagles back in December of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Dilley was dealt a 84-49 defeat at the hands of Luling.
It was another big night for Jaime Gomez, who shot 8-for-14 from deep and dropped a double-double on 40 points and 12 steals for Luling. The match was Gomez's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Ayden Flores was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.
Dilley's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Luling, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Dilley will look to defend their home court on Friday against South San Antonio West at 1:15 p.m. South San Antonio West is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Luling will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cole at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
