Brewer's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Douglas Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Considering the Patriots have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brewer pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Douglas, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Brewer has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Priceville on the 2nd. Hopefully Douglas paid attention to the Patriots' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
