The Londonderry Lancers will venture away from home to face off against the Alvirne Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Londonderry has six straight victories, Alvirne has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Londonderry is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Hampshire's top teams: Bishop Guertin, who was ranked 17th at the time (Londonderry was ranked fourth). The Lancers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 6-1 on Thursday.

The team relied heavily on Zach Mantegari, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caden Jordan, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two RBI.
Londonderry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Alvirne came up short against Portsmouth on Friday, falling 14-5.
Jameson Krueger was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Alex Small also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Londonderry's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Alvirne, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Alvirne's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Londonderry has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Alvirne, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Londonderry keep running through batters, or will the Broncos buck the trend?
Londonderry couldn't quite finish off Alvirne in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
