Alta got a massive performance out of Brielle Watson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those runs were Watson's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Hilton, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Alta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Woods Cross has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Alta, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Woods Cross hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Alta struggles in that department as they've averaged .351. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
