Basketball Game Preview: South Effingham Mustangs vs. Bradwell Institute Tigers

South Effingham is 1-7 against Bradwell Institute since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Effingham Mustangs will host the Bradwell Institute Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

South Effingham took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Glynn Academy by a score of 67-57.

Quinton Williams was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted seven points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Hall, who earned ten points.

South Effingham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Bradwell Institute was able to grind out a solid win over Statesboro on Tuesday, taking the game 58-49.

Bradwell Institute is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for South Effingham, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
