Cypress Ridge extended their losing streak  to six  on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-25. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cypress Creek Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  3-1  loss  back in September.
 Jadyn Lastrap paced Cypress Ridge's offense, picking up 17 kills. Lastrap got some help from  Grace Massingill and her 29 assists.  Jessica Tyson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
As for Cypress Creek,  the  victory snapped their losing streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 23-18 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win they have posted  since August 30th.
  Kayla Tracey was the offensive standout of the  match as she  had 17  assists and seven  digs. Those  17 assists gave  her a new career-high.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Ridge is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Northbrook  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cypress Creek will  face off against  rival Memorial  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
