The Minor Tigers lost against the Homewood Patriots last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Minor falling 66-48. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with Homewood: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Mcclain, who scored 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Chatman, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Minor's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Homewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Minor will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Parker at 7:30 p.m. As for Homewood, they will head out on the road to challenge Jackson-Olin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Jackson-Olin: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home, while Homewood has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
