Burncoat had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a hard 7-26 fall against Nipmuc Regional. If Burncoat were expecting to get some payback for the 12-48 defeat against Nipmuc Regional the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Burncoat off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Nipmuc Regional a 1-0 record.
Burncoat will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Worcester Tech. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will face off against Dover-Sherborn.
