Estancia has won five straight games at home, while Pecos has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Bears will host the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. One thing working in Estancia's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
On Tuesday, Estancia got the win against Santa Rosa by a conclusive 15-4. Considering the Bears have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jhenna Valencia made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Valencia was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Looper, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Lucia Chavez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Estancia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Rosa only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, Pecos hadn't done well against Tucumcari recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Rattlers by a score of 21-16.
Like Estancia, Pecos also got a great game from a two-way player: Arlanni Gabaldon. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and 12 unearned) runs off 11 hits (and not a single walk). Gabaldon was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Jaylah Ortiz was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Mila Archuleta, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Estancia's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Pecos, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.
Everything went Estancia's way against Pecos when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Estancia made off with an 18-2 victory. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
