They will square off against the Jordan Christian Prep Sunshine Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
American Youth Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Monday. They suffered a rough 82-57 defeat at the hands of Foundation Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Jordan Christian Prep Sunshine's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Montverde Academy at home by a decisive 68-50 margin. While losing is never fun, Jordan Christian Prep Sunshine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while Montverde Academy is ranked first).
The losing side was boosted by Marco Navarro, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Roman Snytiuk was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
American Youth Academy dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Jordan Christian Prep Sunshine, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
