The Kings Christian Crusaders entered their tilt with the Woodlake Tigers with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Kings Christian simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Woodlake 84-37 on the road. The result was nothing new for Kings Christian, who have now won nine games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kings Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ronnie Roche, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 10 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Roche has scored at least 25% of Kings Christian's points. Trey Brouwer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Defeat or not, Woodlake got some senior leadership from Hugo Cruz who scored 12 points and Mario Jimenez who scored 8 points. Cruz scored a full 32.4% of Woodlake's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Kings Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Woodlake, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Kings Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Avenal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Woodlake is on the road again on Friday and play against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
