After three games on the road, Berkmar is heading back home. They will take on the Providence Christian Academy Storm at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-19, which was the final score in Berkmar's tilt against Rome on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cross Keys 79-11 on the road. Providence Christian Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 35 points or more this season.
Providence Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sazy Cantrell led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. Cantrell hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Ella Truong was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 5 steals.
The losses dropped Berkmar to 1-4 and Rome to 1-1.
Things could have been worse for Berkmar, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 29-13 loss to Providence Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022.
