Cannon Barney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of South Sevier's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-8 when he doesn't).
