Western Harnett not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over the Pine Forest Trojans. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Morgan McAuley made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Summer Baker was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Olivia Moomaw also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
