The Nimitz Vikings's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Pinkston with points to spare, taking the game 51-37. For Nimitz, this counts as revenge for the 54-45 defeat Pinkston walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Pinkston's loss came despite strong showings from Cenaya Calhoun- jingles and Aalaysia Knight. Calhoun- jingles scored 16 points, while Knight scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Calhoun- jingles' 11th in a row with at least ten points.
Nimitz's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Pinkston, they have fallen quite a ways from their 26-12 record last season and are now at 1-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nimitz will take on Haltom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Haltom is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Pinkston, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lancaster at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Lancaster presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pinkston in Texas (Lancaster is ranked 349th, while Pinkston is ranked 1205th).
