Katy barely beat Tompkins the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Falcons 8-1 on Tuesday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Katy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Tompkins, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9-2.

Katy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
