Despite the loss, Legacy Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Thompson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Little, who scored 12 points.
Middletown Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
Middletown Christian suffered a grim 59-37 defeat to Legacy Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January. Can Middletown Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
