Sarasota proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 14) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Palmetto Tigers 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Sailors, who have now won four matchups in a row.
Dylan Supple looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
