The West Shore Wildcats suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Palm Bay 51-5. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Shore has scored all season.
Leading Palm Bay to victory were Jordyn Baker and Elliana Wallace. Baker scored 13 points, while Wallace scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carleyssia Wallace, who scored six points.
West Shore are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Palm Bay, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
West Shore on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bayside at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Bayside's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so West Shore's offense will have their work cut out for them. Palm Bay won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mainland at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
