The Far Northeast W Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Denver South, falling 35-7. Far Northeast W has struggled against Denver South recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Jr Felipe, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Denver South also got a significant boost from Chevelle Early, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
Far Northeast W has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Denver South, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Far Northeast W will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Vista PEAK Prep at 12:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Vista PEAK Prep is ranked 104th, while Far Northeast W is ranked 112th). As for Denver South, they will head out on the road to face off against Thomas Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Jefferson will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
