Rush-Henrietta found their leader in underclassman Avery Council, who scored 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Graylin Strong, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Gates Chili lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joey Vigerzi, who scored 20 points. Vigerzi is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last three games he's played. Derrik Davis was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Rush-Henrietta's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Gates Chili, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
