North Putnam has gone 9-1 against South Putnam recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The North Putnam Cougars will take on the South Putnam Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

North Putnam is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against West Vigo, falling 60-37. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Vikings are ranked 169th).

Meanwhile, South Putnam humbled Riverton Parke with a 63-36 victory.

South Putnam has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for North Putnam, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

North Putnam couldn't quite finish off South Putnam in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 68-66. Can North Putnam avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
