Grayson County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Giles Spartans. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.
Makray Goad made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Goad was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Troy Stockner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Zach Weatherman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Grayson County's record is now 3-0. As for Giles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.
