Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nuview Bridge walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Gorman Learning Charter - Santa Clarita Lions with a sharp 17-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Carson Lagor made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Nuview Bridge got a massive performance out of Tobias Olague, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Olague has become a key player for the Knights: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 9-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ethan Rivera, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Nuview Bridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Nuview Bridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gorman Learning Charter - Santa Clarita, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
