After a string of five wins, Prospect Hill Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Neighborhood House Charter. Prospect Hill Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Neighborhood House Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Leading Neighborhood House Charter to victory were Karin Richardson and Alicia Browder. Richardson scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Browder dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Browder has scored at least a third of Neighborhood House Charter's points. Gianna Ortega was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Prospect Hill Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Neighborhood House Charter, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
Prospect Hill Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Neighborhood House Charter will head out on the road to square off against Roxbury Prep Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
