Given Memphis Business Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Lions are ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Memphis Business Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Randy White Jr, who scored five points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Teryck White, who scored five points along with five steals.
Memphis Business Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Lakeland Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
Memphis Business Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakeland Preparatory will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tipton Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
